Happy Valentine’s Day!  Valentine’s Day gives us a wonderful opportunity to show the ones we love that we care. Some of today’s commercials seem to imply that the best and only way to let our loved ones know how much we love them is through expensive gifts, dinners and boxes of chocolate; though truth is we do love a chocolate or two 🙂

Showing you care does not have a dollar value. There are many things we can give our loved ones that cost little or nothing. Just the same as we can cultivate much self-love with little cost – perhaps more tea moments in a day to reconnect, settle and smile.

A few suggestions for the ones you love:

  • Make your own Valentine’s Day card and add a memory or two of the day you metlove is 2
  • Watch – Love at First Sight – a free film available February 12 – 17 on GaiamTV.com
  • Bake a batch of his/hers favourite cookies
  • Have a picnic in front of the fireplace (don’t forget to turn off your phones)
  • Give a single rose or perhaps a dozen tissue paper roses
  • Make tea in your Libre tea glasses and go for a stroll in the park or along the beach and say ‘I love you’ in a different language:

                                 French – Je t’aime
Irish –  Taim i’ ngra leat
Chinese Mandarin –  Wo ai ni
                                 Greek –  S’agapo
                                 Spanish – Te amo

Thinking about giving your loved one some chocolates for Valentine’s Day? Why not treat them and yourself with a chocolate tea? These look lovely in a Libre Tea glass and the aroma is delicious!

Here are a few tempting ideas:

White Chocolate Mousse Café Tea
Belgian Chocolate Rooibos
Banana Tea ‘Chocolate Cream’
White Chocolate Peppermint
Cocoa Star

Don’t really celebrate Valentines Day – sounds soppy, but my husband is kind and loving to me every day. I am so lucky.

I’m spending Valentine’s Day with my special someone that has been helping and motivating me in my life. I am taking him to go hiking and plan on reading a book together!

Go for a walk in the park, admire the sky, the birds, and the flowers, and and give thanks for all our blessings.

I have a supply of paper doilies in red, pink, white and silver to make my own valentine’s. Adding a touch of a phrase gives the homemade note my heartfelt sentiment. Valentine’s is a great time for friends and family.

Today I have to work until night, I don’t think I could celebrate my Valentine’s Day as usual. But I already ordered 1 cheesecake yesterday, so we would have our late Vday with it and some hot tea! That sounds simple but good enough for us as long as we feel happy 🙂
    Happy Valentine’s Day, Everyone 🙂

My ultimate Valentine’s Day #teamoment would be to sip WHITE CHOCOLATE MOUSSE CAFÉ TEA out of one of your beautiful libre tea glasses for loose leaf tea. They are gorgeous and I’m a tea fanatic! 🙂

We focus on family love and go visit our mothers and take them flowers and goodies instead of focusing on just our love.

We don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day, but I did make my husband a steak and potato stirfry for dinner, and I made the kids a cake for dessert. The kids made their own valentines this year to give to their friends at school as well 🙂

Even though I am 39- I still make homemade cards for everyone- it’s still a fun and special tradition from when I was little. Before my husband passed away we would have a dinner of box mac and cheese with pb&j sandwiches and watch cheesy movies on Valentines Day just like we used to when we 1st met and were broke but we were so very happy and appreciated all of the simple things.

This year I did something completely different for Valentine’s Day. I volunteered at a senior’s centre in my neighbourhood. I gave chocolate roses + hugs to everyone after their lunch! Spent time listening to lovely romantic stories among gentle + caring human beings 🙂

After a crazy week filled with work, illness, travel, extracurricular activities, and just general chaos, it was wonderful that my husband, my children and myself were able to sit down together to a lovely Valentine’s Day supper. We followed this with a cuddle on the couch, watching a movie together. It was pure bliss!

For our first Valentine’s Day as husband and wife, we sat down in front a a nice homemade meal, I baked a delicious chocolate cake, then we cuddled on the couch, popped open a bottle we’d been saving for a special occasion and watched a few episodes of a series we’re watching together.

I was going to make my husband a nice dinner for Valentines. I got in a car accident and was just too sore. He ended up making me dinner and watching movies with me. He also got me some original local art. I love local art as it reminds me of the places we have lived.

With my 3 year old charge We made home made valentines; painted, stickered, colored paper hearts and delivered them with a treat to her fave people, Nanas, aunts/uncles. It was fun.

My hubby took me on a late night snowmobile ride with our tea to go and a couple of dark chocolates in a backpack and we parked in a open area and just talked about when we first fell in love some 16 years ago and watched the stars…..very romantic my hubby is.

We enjoy a nice dinner out – this year was Italian, yum! I’m another who is blessed to have a husband to celebrate love with daily. 13+ years strong! Hope everyone had a wonderful V-Day.

We spent Valentine’s Day in Florida at a lovely little local restaurant and a small town. It was so romantic and perfect and we really enjoy the warmer weather!

I made my wife her favorite T the Belgian chocolate Roobios to enjoy with some chocolate covered strawberries that I got for her at our church. We enjoyed by the fireplace and just had a relaxing evening it was very nice. She’s a tea fanatic so tea of some sort is usually part of a gift for all occasions.

My husband made me a delicious dinner at home, and I made him his favorite Oolong tea… Which took me forever to find. My son made us both some beautiful cards(I might be biased) and I ordered some personalized photo collage cards for my husband. One from me, and one from the kids. All in all it was a perfect day and very budget friendly.
