The New Year is often times when we decide to improve our habits and ourselves. And this year we have a new moon – auspicious for a great start – so extra help this year for all of us!

We can make long list of New Year’s resolutions, but the likelihood of succeeding is slim. Why?

When our lists are too long we become overwhelmed. We might be able to stick to our well intentioned plans for a few days but in the long run it’s just too much.

The best way to make change is slowly, picking only 1 or 2 habits you’d like to make happen in 2014.

Sow a thoughtHere are 5 simple and healthy resolution ideas:

  • Drink 2 glasses of water first thing in the morning
  • Add a piece of fruit to your lunch
  • Walk around the block twice a week or after dinner every day
  • Set a workday bedtime and tuck in 30 minutes earlier to settle down
  • Meditate for 5 minutes every day

You know best what is the best 1 or 2 or 3 for you – take some time to reflect and choose the ones that resonate with you as most important. It takes 3 weeks to form a new habit, after that you’re set.

Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.” Jim Rohn

Over the next few weeks we’ll share more about new ways to use your tea glass – including new kinds of teas and healthy concoctions great for your tea glass. We’ve teamed up with some wonderful partners for some great giveaways each week in January to help the New Year’s resolutions along. And we are going to ask you to

Share with us your New Year’s Resolutions and how a Libre Tea glass can help for a chance to win a Libre Large.

I usually do not make New Years Resolutions, but this year I did. I put on 17 lbs this fall and they need to come back off. I also want to read my Bible through in the year. Both are attainable. My Libre helps as it just makes me feel good, to relax as I read, to increase my fluid intake and enjoy doing it.

My New Years resolution has a long hard road ahead. First I need to focus on getting to bed on time and avoiding my telephone for the latest Facebook updates. I need to be better aware of my health and take the time to understand my body. I am a high strung person my libre tea takes that few minutes to allow my brain focus on my day. I am only who I set out to be. I have no excuses anymore and if I work hard and keep to it I can become a healthier happier person.

Great tips and do-able ones too. Micro-goals is the way to go that eventually, over time, sustainable behaviors. Thanks for the post!

I want to be more active, thus healthy this year, consuming plenty of fluids (I love tea …so that will account for much of the fluid & one of your lovely tea glasses would help when I’m on the go)

I would like to make more time for myself. I am a sahm of three small girls. I would use a Libre glass during the time I carve our for myself as a luxery.

Well I have resolved to drink a glass of hot water with lemon and a glass of green tea every day. So far so good, my grandma used to have water and lemon every morning and if she can do it so can I. I have read it has great health benefits as well as the green tea. Thank you and Happy New Year

my resolution is to be more organized – getting rid of the clutter in my house will hopefully get rid of some of the clutter in my mind.
my libre tea mug will allow me to drink some energy tea which will help me clean the house, and i will also drink some calming tea which will help me clean my mind.
