On May 22 and 23 I and  Libre tea glasses attended a special Yoga retreat weekend that is an annual fundraiser for the Yoga Outreach Charity. This is a fabulous initiative – volunteer yoga teachers taking yoga to prisons and halfway/recovery facilities.
This retreat is held at a beautiful outdoor school camp near Squamish BC Canada.  Over two days there is an extensive program with many yoga styles and related activites and seminars. The first night was chrystal bowls singing and being played -  all seven sizes created a beautiful ‘other world’ experience. Then I experienced Yoga Nidra – a deep mediation relaxation -, an ayervedic cooking seminar, an overly inspiring yoga class taught by Mary Jo, a woman who’s been teaching over 20 years and now a parapalegic and then there was kirtan and chanting in the evening. Sunday was more wonderful yoga choices…felt like i came home from a weekend-long, blissful tea moment.
Libre participated with the tea glasses for sale and donating 90% of proceds to the Yoga Outreach organisation. The tea glasses were very popular with yogis and over $500 was contributed from sales.
As well there was a silent auction with many donated items for further fundraising.
