As lives settle down into fall routines LibreTea encourages you to nurture your soul by learning something new, taking a class or starting a creative project.

This is not the time to be passive. This is the time to shape, sculpt, paint, participate… the time to get sweaty, to get dirty, to fall in love, to forgive, to forget, to hug, to kiss… this is the time to experience, participate and live your life as a verb.”
― Steve Maraboli

We’ve spent the last few weeks finding time and ways to incorporate nurturing mini-moments into our lives.  Now we are looking at a few ways to nurture ourselves through participating in activities.

  • learnSign up for a these free online events: Refreshing Our Hearts with Thich Nhat Hanh; 21 Days of Gratitude – a free 21 days of gratitude inspiration
  • Check your local community centre or college for yoga, fitness, art or cooking classes
  • Yoga video classes at My Yoga Online
  • Learn to knit or crochet at your local yarn shop or sign up for lessons to play an instrument at the music store.
  • Subscribe to Learner’s Word of the Day or upgrade your computer skills with Microsoft or learn some Computer Basics with Free Learning Online!

Learning a new skill or developing our talent gives us such a great sense of accomplishment and is a wonderful way to nurture your soul!

Libre Tea glasses make the perfect companion while you learn, as they easily fit into a purse/backpack  or right beside you at the computer  : ) allowing you to have your tea moments on the go.

Share with us what new nurturing activity you will be or would like to participate in over the next few weeks for a chance to win a Libre Tea Mug!

Congratulations to all our Mini-Moment winners:

What a great idea. This fall has been a harder one for me and I think it is time to become more active not just physically but in all aspects of body, mind, soul, spirit. I like the idea of 21 days of gratitude, but I will do this in my own way. I am also going to look at what is available in our community to become involved in for pleasure. For active community involvement, operation Christmas Child is beginning soon in our community and I know they always need volunteers.

Hello, it’s me, the guitar under your bed. I’ve been silent for far too long. It’s not fair. The piano keys downstairs are tickled by your young son every day. My strings can’t sing unless someone strums them. Please, learn to play me again so that I can fill your small world with music. Perhaps a piano and guitar duet would be nice some day too.

    Okay, it’s time.

I am hoping to get back into my yoga routine now that summer is over and I expect to be less active. It nurtures my body, mind and soul.

I’d love to take more time for myself and go on some long walks around the city while it’s still warm enough to do so! All too often we rush from one place to another, but I love just taking an aimless stroll around the city and watching the leaves change. I’m always surprised by what hidden treasures and cool new places I stumble across!

I would love to take up sewing up again and maybe sew some cushions for the living room to add some colour, go hiking in the woods and see nature through my own eyes and the lenses of my camera in hopes of capturing a piece of mother nature’s magic and hoping to volunteer at the local shelter to give back to the community.
